Over the past 25 years, Kathy McIntosh, Ed.D. has worked to develop leaders in education, business and community organizations. She has served in a variety of roles higher education, including leadership development, strategic planning, student life, student union design and management at Alliant International University, California State University, San Marcos, University of San Diego and Cathedral Catholic High School.
Kathy is actively involved in the Association of College Unions International and has held numerous positions within ACUI on both the regional and international levels, including Regional Director for Region I (California, Nevada, Hawaii, Guam, Arizona, New Mexico and Australia) and on ACUI’s Education and Research Fund team. In 2018, Kathy was recognized as an ACUI Region I Icon for her longtime service and commitment to campus community building.
Kathy has a doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University where her research focused on the role mentors play in identifying and selecting careers in higher education. She also has a Master of Arts in Leadership with an emphasis in College Student Services from the University of San Diego and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Santa Clara University. Kathy is also a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach and DISC assessment certified.
In her spare time, Kathy enjoys cooking, traveling, watching college basketball and most importantly, spending time with her husband and two energetic teenagers.
